Linda's Story
Right after high school, I married Woody Stapleton and had a daughter, Bridget. We moved into our current home in 1978. We also have a son,Aaron who was born 10 years later. Both played a lot of sports which kept us busy. While they were in school, I also kept busy volunteering for school. I also worked full time in the banking field. Bridget gave us our first grandchild 17 years ago, Quinn, who owned my heart from day one. He also kept us busy with playing all three sports and being a manager for the HHS football team since he was 2 years old. My daughter got married and 5 years ago, she had Madison. Three years ago, Quinn was diagnosed with an unoperable brain tumor. After unsuccesful treatment, he left us to go to Heaven on August 20, 2006. eir help, food, gifts, cards, everything. I could not have asked for a better community or friendships. My friends is what has held me up during this time. I have finally made it thru all this. I took time off work to take care of him. I am truley blessed with so many, many friends that helped me. I was fortuante to be able to go back to my same job as branch manager at the Bank of Ky in Ft. Thomas. I have learned to live life to the fullest again and to have fun. I now have another beautiful granddaughter, Rylee. My son is now engaged and will be married next July. Life moves on ever so quickly. I continue volunteering for a lot of community service projects for the Jr. Football League, HHS, the City of Ft. Thomas, US Army Reserves and the Campbell County Rotary. We also have a Win For Quinn Foundation that sponsors scholarships and donations to Children's Hospital. Last weekend was our class reunion. It was great to reunite with everyone and to have a good time. I look forward to being able to continue our friendships! Make sure you enjoy life to the fullest, hug your kids ever day and tell them you love them!!
